The value we provide to our customers is a combination of precision measurement technology and a rich understanding of their applications to improve the quality, throughput, and yield of their products.As part of our ongoing growth at Keithley Instruments, Inc. we have an opening for a Sr. Industry Consultant - (RF Applications Engineer)The expectations for the position are as follows:In alignment with the market strategy of the Wireless/RF Business Team, the position will have responsibility for providing extensive technical pre- and post-sales support to customers, as well as Keithley personnel, worldwide.  Support includes providing assistance with operation of particular products, utilizing our products in specific applications, and getting service on products when required. Work with customers and Keithley personnel to refine, enhance, and/or develop new testing methodologies within targeted applications.  Communicate Keithley?s application knowledge through training, seminars, application notes, and/or published articles.  Prepare and utilize the other applications resources worldwide to provide routine technical support, allowing other target market business team applications resources to focus on the most critical and in-depth requirements.In addition to sales support, the position will have responsibility for participation in new product development.  Participation occurs in many ways including: providing insight into unmet customer needs, ensuring the customer perspective is focal in engineering developments, performing technical analysis on competing products, and participating in the technical aspects of product beta-site evaluations. In all of these activities, it is expected that these individuals will clearly communicate his/her goals and objectives, initiate or motivate others into action, and drive for results.This position requires travel worldwide.  It is expected that the person holding this position will travel approximately 20% of his or her time.A Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent is required, along with four to eight years of in-depth experience in applications / design engineering of radio frequency instrumentation.  A thorough understanding of applicable technology, industry trends and requirements is strongly desired, as well as experience in programming environments for automated test.
