Sr. MW/RF Engineer

Location: Silicon Valley - Santa Clara, CA

 

Adventenna Inc is in a search for the best and brightest RF/MW and Antenna Engineers in the market. Adventenna will be a leader in the arena of mobile communication systems and related wireless products; we disrupt the market by introducing highly innovative products on every aspect of the system.

We do in six months what others try to do in two years.

 

Adventenna has an opening for an extraordinary Sr. MW/RF Engineer with the following qualifications and skills.

Minimum education level of BSEE and a minimum of 6 years Industry experience or equivalent. Must have experience designing LNA?s, LNB?s and full transceivers in the following bands [10-15GHz, 18-26.5GHz, 26.5GHz-30GHz],  practical experience designing RF/MW switches, experience integrating phase shifters and controlling circuitry for phase array antenna applications.

Board level experience with the following modules and Technologies, Local oscillators, Mixers, Wilkinson bridges, Hybrids, MMIC, Design of MW and RF Filters.

Ability to derive RF specifications from link budget?s, and experience integrating a full system on a board.

Must have leadership skills working and leading other RF / Antenna / Electrical and Mechanical engineers, providing full closed loop product for mass production.

High volume environment experience is highly desirable [quantities of 1M/Year].

 

This position has High Visibly to Executive level management, reporting Directly to VP of Engineering.

 

 

Job Duties and Skills:

 

- Design LNA's and Transceiver channels.

- Lead the design and integration of RF/MW switches and phase shifters into Adventenna line of antenna systems.

- Act as a point of contact on all RF/MW technical issues.

- Must have multitasking capabilities and proven track record in designing RF/MW boards for mass production.

- Proficient Using lab equipment such as VNA?s, Spectrum analyzers, Network analyzer, RF sources.

- Skills using Ansoft Designer, HFSS, Matlab,Autocad, Or-Cad [or equivalent].

- Leadership skills, multidisciplinary capabilities.

- Abilities to Build, Guide and Mentor Junior RF Engineers.

- Good Understanding of Antenna theory and practical antenna design.

- Experience working with External Vendors, and sub-contractors.
