A unique role for a talented individual.

This is a special position requiring a broad array of skills and experience. In particular, our client is looking for someone with filament winding experience and a background in composite materials. Working with an exciting mix of brand new technology, you would be responsible for both the manufacturing and process engineering of composite materials related to high-pressure fuels systems. Your primary duties would include:

Writing and troubleshooting filament winding programs to meet design requirementsWorking from assembly-level drawings to guide the manufacturing team and prepare task breakdowns and bills of materialsEffectively participating in an IPT environment and building a manufacturing team to troubleshoot problems, develop solutions, and execute corrective action plansManaging outside contractors from securing quotes to ensuring job completionWorking with Program Managers and other Manufacturing and Design Engineers to coordinate completion of critical product development issuesWriting PFMEAs, Visual Procedures, and Job TravelersWorking with Quality Assurance in the collection of SPC Data

What kind of candidate are we looking for?

Hands-on manufacturing engineer experience is required, as is a background in composite materials. Filament winding experience is ideal. Automotive experience is preferred. Working knowledge of machine process is a plus, along with ISO9000 experience. A related degree is essential.
