Position:    Senior Marketing Analyst

Reports to:    SVP Product Development and Analytics

Location:  McLean, Virginia

 

Position overview: 

Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking to add several new experienced marketing analysts to our team.  Each of these key positions contributes significantly to the development of leading edge data-driven products and analytical services that will directly impact the revenue growth of our company.   These products are being used by marketers and strategic planners, money managers and other senior executives to capitalize on important trends in the marketplace and to target consumers more effectively.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced statistical analyst with a proven track record of solving real world marketing problems in a large scale database marketing environment.  Prior exposure to a broad set of consumer marketing data is required, including survey research, syndicated databases, and/or client files.  Practical, hands-on experience with techniques such as regression, cluster analysis, decision trees, factor analysis and other statistical techniques is highly desired.

Expected Job Functions/Projects:

?  Collaborate with internal teams to understand the business problem and market requirements

?  Develop and execute against an overall analytic plan, from model conception through validation and release

?  Extract, compile and summarize large volumes of data from disparate sources

?  Provide advanced predictive modeling, profiling, and segmentation expertise

?  Influence business decisions with clear and concise articulation of recommended approach, appropriate statistical methods, model performance, and results

?  Managerial opportunities may exist for the right candidate

 

?  Required/Desired Skills:

?  Master?s degree in Statistics, Market Research, Economics, Marketing Science or equivalent quantitative discipline

?  5+ years experience with statistical modeling and analysis using SAS

?  5+ years experience in marketing research, direct marketing or database marketing

?  Ability and desire to understand both the business and technical requirements

?  Team oriented, client-focused and creative problem solver

?  Effective communications skills

?  Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
