Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate engineer will be responsible for static and dynamic design, analysis of a complex Air Bearing scanning Stage and isolation system installed in a wafer inspection machine.
The candidate will conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing on new and modified designs. He must be able to assemble prototypes, create and execute prototype test plan, performance characterization and optimization and prepare the documentation required to transfer the design to manufacturing.
The candidate should possess communication skills and be able to interact with other engineering groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a strong background in semiconductor equipment, design background of precision motion systems as air bearing systems involved with servo motion control. Experience in vibration and model analysis and FEA.
Must be proficient with solid CAD and structural analysis modeling, preferably ProE.

BS or MS in Mechanical engineering with 10+ years of experience in the following areas are desirable:
Ownership and leadership
Proven analytical skills
Use of diagnostic tools as Matlab or Labview
Motion control
Acoustic noise isolation
Electromechanical and pneumatic systems
Manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal and castings
Design for semiconductor equipment
Solid modeling and FEA
Precision mechanisms
Air bearing stage or Precision automation
Vibration analysis and isolation systems
