Sr. Mechanical/HVAC Designer

Conshohocken, PA

 

Job Requirements:

 

Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or BS degree, preferred.  Specialized industry related experience should include 5-7 years supporting BioPharma or Pharmaceutical design projects including a minimum of 10 years overall project related experience. Candidates should possess a strong technical knowledge of various 2D/3D computer aided design (CAD) applications including AutoCAD, Microstation, PDS and PDMS . Proficiency utilizing MS Word & Excel.

Job Responsibilities:

? Conceptualize hydronic and airside system concepts and prepare plans, sections, airflow diagrams, P&IDs, details and schedules

? Applies sound and diversified knowledge of Mechanical/HVAC design  principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industries

? Responsible for documentation of generation and distribution of Mechanical/HVAC utilities and all HVAC air systems

? Excellent communication and documentation skills. Interface with client as needed to resolve issues and obtain approval of proposed designs



?  Develop and check Mechanical/HVAC documents during the conceptual, bidding and detail design phases of a design effort in conjunction with assigning tasks to team of designers and track progress and quality of documentation

?  Utilizes theoretical and practical engineering skills to assist with project planning and other activities, which lead to the actual detail design of the project. Participate in field surveys, cost estimating and ensure design coordination with other project disciplines
