Sr / Pr Layout Design Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:? Under the direction of the Mixed-Signal Products Director, or designee, this position will:

??? -? Create RAD-hard and non RAD-hard analog cell libraries in Mentor environment.

??? -? Create Technology files for Mentor and other tools from foundry and other documentation generated

?????? ?by Aeroflex.

??? -? Perform schematic-driven layout of analog cells.? Work with analog designers to minimize parasitics in

????? ?layout. Perform parasitic capacitance extractions, and identify areas for layout improvement.

??? -? Full-chip planning, routing, and interconnection of analog and digital sections.

??? -? Design integrity checking, including DRC/ERC/LPE and approval of MEBES data from foundry.

??? -? Responsible FOR INTEGRITY OF DESIGN DATABASES, including checking foundry run sets for errors

REQUIREMENTS:? BSEE?or equivalent degree plus a minimum of six (6) to eight (8) years of physical design experience. Previous radiation hardened microcircuit layout experience highly desired, as is experience with digital netlist place-and-route. Must be able to?use Mentor IC Graph/IC SDL tools, Calibre tools, and Synospys Star RC-XT. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.
