Sr. / Process Engineer (3rd Shift)

Description:
This position is responsible for implementing, monitoring, improving, and controlling processes used in electronic assembly with an emphasis on surface mount technology and soldering. This includes formally documenting and training others in the processes and process controls. The ultimate goal is to improve yields, increase throughput, and reduce cost.

-Perform capability studies to understand new and existing processes used in electronic assembly.
-Analyze process problems using root cause failure analysis and formal Design of Experiments.
-Improve processes by eliminating variability or by controlling variability using Statistical Process Control.
-Formally document processes and evaluations in the form of procedures or technical reports.
-Perform training in new processes or process controls to other manufacturing personnel.
-Monitor process performance using quality tools such as Pareto, histogram, and Trend charts.
-Perform or assist in equipment justifications and acceptance testing.
-Perform machine programming as required.
-Perform special technical projects, such as new process technology integration, as required.
-Accountable for compliance with ISO 9000, Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.
-Project Management: Managing projects proficiently, efficiently, and with full accountability for project results. Ensuring that all constituent partners and associates for successful project implementation are managed and coordinated to completion of project goals.
-Process Improvement: Identifying core value-adding processes and maximizing their performance and productivity. Integrating and streamlining processes throughout the supply chain, and ensuring adoption of best maximum efficiency.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

BSEE, BSME, BSIE, or equivalent knowledge in the application of engineering principals, theories, concepts and techniques in Electronic Assembly and Surface Mount Technology.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Must have demonstated process improvement experience within a process engineering environment.

Process Engineer qualifications:
Minimum three years of processing engineering experience.

Sr. Process Engineer qualifications:
Minimum five years of processing engineering experience.
