Sr. Product Development Engineer

Position Description:

Engineers, designs, qualifies, and ensures overall compatibility/compliance for K8 microprocessors from product definition through product qualification and into high volume production.
Key Job Functions:
Depending on the specific project assignment, will perform applicable functions from the following: 1. Supports product engineering with reliability testing, debug, and data analysis of microprocessor products. 2. Conducts, analyzes, and reports on all product reliability qualification activity. 3. Participates in the debug and corrective action process of yield/reliability problems and provides adequate feedback to the Fab and design groups. 4. Provides technical direction in the analysis of design and performance trade-offs when making recommendations to improve reliability. 5. Works on strategic product development and reliability improvement projects and/or assignments as needed. 6. Acts as a driving force in keeping microprocessor product qualifications on schedule and tracking all technical requirements. ACCOUNTABILITY: Relied upon as team member of technical projects. Responsible for keeping microprocessor product reliability qualifications on schedule.

Qualifications:

A technology related Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience plus 5 years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of semiconductor physics, system-level design and/or integrated circuit design. An advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience requirement. Ideal candidate will posess fluency in Chinese language.
