At the West Hartford, location, Goodrich Pump & Engine Control Systems (GPECS) has been a leader in advanced fuel control systems technology for aerospace and industrial applications for over sixty years.

The West Hartford division has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Quality Engineer to support growth-driven development programs in the aerospace fuel control market as well as mature designs in production

Responsibilities primarily program quality including some process quality engineering tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in the area of dealing with customers on technical product quality issues. Take a lead role dealing with customer product investigations and interfacing with other functional groups in order to achieve fast permanent resolution of the issue. Knowledge of Key Quality processes such as; DMAIC, 5S, RRCCA, Process Certification, DOE, TPM, mistake proofing, are essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to resolve technical problems by interfacing with design engineering and other functional groups. Background in FAA regulations and military product is a plus. This position will require knowledge of, lean manufacturing, and quality systems to support ISO 9000 and AS9100 requirements. This candidate will support a quality strategy to improve the overall quality through the life cycle of a program. Robust manufacturable designs, optimized manufacturing processes, solid performance from the supply base, enhanced field performance with reduction in warranty costs and a feedback loop to future products for lessons learned.

The Successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a related major and at least five years experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing/assembly environment. Experience with aerospace products is a must. CQE or CQM certified preferred. ASQ certification as a quality engineer and/or courses in metrology, statistics, and quality control planning is preferred.
