Sr. Proj. Engineer (Safety Products)

The Senior Project Engineer will specify, plan, schedule and direct the design and development of vehicle and aircraft safety products. The primary focus will be in the areas of fire extinguishing systems for the military and/or commercial markets.

Typical duties include:
This position will be responsible for leading test engineering in safety, quality, on time delivery, and project cost management of test systems. In addition this position will be responsible for leading the support and improvement of current electronics test systems and implementation of process improvement of electronics test system design.

The successful candidate will contribute to proposals and requirements definition, will create test program development plans and schedules and manage the projects to these schedules and plans. This person will be responsible for identifying resource requirements, delegating tasks to engineers, following up to ensure quality and timely delivery to programs within the planned budget and other duties as assigned.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of experience. Requires experience in product development and production programs. Experience in successfully managing projects to requirements, budget, and schedule is required. Ability to work effectively with the program teams is required. A proven track record in the development and testing of fire extinguishing systems is a desired. Experience in Aerospace and Defense programs is desired. Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
