***Sr. Project Engineer Position Available ***
Job Responsibilities:
Independently manages execution and timely completion of FE engineering projects by analyzing project scope, determining project specifications, determining applicable standard or standards, and costs for product investigations, and preparing detailed engineering reports for clients.
Project handling in a wide variety of product categories with emphasis on power distribution and industrial electrical equipment, factory automation equipment. Must be willing to learn outside disciplines of gas fired equipment, fire doors and frames, sanitation, hazardous locations, and buildings.
Deliver presentations and provide education to our customers.
Frequent travel required ? up to 70+% of time will be in the field and writing reports (typically within 2 hours drive)
Job Requirements:
University Degree (Equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor?s degree or Associates degree) in Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent, such as directly related military training, in a related discipline plus directly related experience.Preferred: BSEE, BSME or BS Electrical Power Technology.
Fully knowledgeable about:
OSHA and Local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) procedures and requirements
Field Evaluations (for low voltage power distribution and industrial type equipment)
National Electric Code (NEC) and possess a strong understanding of the code.
Hazard Based Safety Engineering principles and application
Field Evaluation (FE) political environment (preferred)
Must possess strong interpersonal skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be conscious of other cultures when dealing with clients
Must have above average computer skills with laptop using MS Word, MS Excel, Notes databases, wireless access, and remote VPN activities for network
Hazardous Locations a plus.
