Job Responsibilities:
The Shelters Structural Engineer position is a multi functional role with responsibilities for structural design and analysis, systems and project engineering and miscellaneous M&PE, mechanical design, safety and reliability engineering. The position provides overall technical leadership in the engineering development, prototyping and/or production of various rigid wall military shelter systems. Key responsibilities include FEA, failure analysis, weight and CG studies, heat transfer analysis, design trade studies, safety and reliability inputs, technical proposal writing, specification reviews, risk metrics, verification planning, new material evaluations, test and production floor support, customer technical interface and MRB engineer.

Required Education:
BS Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or related field.

Required Work Experience:
4-5 years experience in structural engineering of mechanical systems with experience or exposure to project/systems engineering tasks, preferably in a DoD/defense contractor setting.

Other Desirable Requirements:
CAD design and composite structures experience desirable.
