Sr. Pump Designer

Sr. Pump Designer Job# 3398FortWayneINMH A global supplier of fluid motion and control products and services is seeking a Sr. Pump Designer based at its Fort Wayne, IN area manufacturing and engineering office.

Position Responsibilities include:

? Sr. Design Engineering position to provide mechanical design and development of new centrifugal pump products or major product enhancements for the water systems industry

? Support Product Engineering in the continuous improvements of existing products currently being manufactured

? Investigate new technology to aid in the improvement of the product development/analysis cycle

? Be able to design and build functional prototypes and interact with lab technicians to test and verify prototype designs

? Perform benchmarking of both existing and competitive products

? Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering as a minimum

? 7 years minimum experience in the mechanical design of centrifugal pumps

? Must be proficient in the use of the computer for design and testing. (ProE CAD experience is preferred)

? Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude

? Experience in rotating equipment and/or centrifugal/hydraulic pump design is needed
