Sr. QA Lead

 

SEVEN is seeking a Sr. QA Lead. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for leading the QA team through the full life cycle of development, including reviewing requirements and specifications, managing local and offshore test resources, test planning, design, review and execution. You will also interface with program managers, development and tech support engineers to ensure the quality and integrity of SEVENs products. You will lead the local QA group, and work with an offshore QA team. You will establish formal QA processes and reporting and drive the testing and automation processes.

Primary responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day QA activities by defining, implementing and maintaining a coherent, progressive testing strategy for SEVEN products and coordinate various QA activities within geographically distributed team.
Create and execute appropriate project plan, test strategies and test case plans for QA testing activities in concert with development and program management efforts
Develop and execute on client automation testing process
Drive and manage the bug triage process, represent QA in project meetings to ensure efficient testing and bug fixing process, and be an effective advocate for the QA group
Report on status of product quality to development, customer support and product teams via rigorous execution of detailed test plans/cases and accurate reporting of test cases execute, bugs discovered, bugs fixed, etc.
 
Required qualifications:
7-10 years experience in Software Quality Assurance with focus on testing enterprise-class, web applications and/or wireless products
3-5 years in leading SQA team
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing, automation testing, and programming languages Java, Perl, Javascript, and overall thorough understanding of SQA methodologies
Strong management, organizational and process skills
Assertive individual who knows how to help drive software development process maturity and able to clearly communicate goals, decisions and recommendations to appropriate parties
Excellent team building skills, including cross functional team building

Experience in working with offshore teams
Experience with Windows and UNIX development
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.

Desired qualifications:
Experience testing handsets, PDAs, and other clients.
Experience outsourcing test projects.
Experience testing Exchange, Lotus Domino and/or CRM applications.
Experience in SQA of Java, distributed/scalable systems, web-based technologies and high-volume transaction applications
Experience with planning, coordinating and conducting performance/benchmarking exercises for product certification on various platforms
