Sr. SYS APPL ENGR

Position Description:

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS: The job functions include to lead system architectural discussions, to provide schematic review and layout review, and also to support prototype bring-up. The engineer will be required to work closely with customer engineers and provide answers to any questions related to AMD processor and AMD HyperTransport I/O chipset and the 3rd party HyperTransport I/O chipset.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS and 10+ years experience or MS and 8+ years experience. The ideal candidate is a hardware designer who has worked at computer hardware company as a design engineer and worked on at least 2 projects from development to production. Familiarity with development tools such as schematics capture, PLD, signal integrity simulation, and PCB layout. Also, the engineer should have a working knowledge of processor architecture, DDR memory interface, PCI/PCIx interface, AGP interface, legacy PC interface, and storage/network interface. Excellent communication skills are required.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: This senior engineer will be required to support several key customers' projects and to be the engineering focal point.
