Sr. Structural Engineer

Stanley Consultants Inc., leading providers of engineering, environmental, and construction services worldwide, has an opportunity for a Sr. Structural Engineer in its Denver, CO office.

 

Responsible for the design of reinforced concrete foundations and structural steel for fossil-fuel power plants, stand-by or emergency generation facilities, electrical substations, high-voltage electrical transmission lines, central heating and chilled water plants, campus-type utility distribution systems, and industrial projects. Responsibilities include preparing and checking structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications; computer modeling and shop drawing review. Typical steel designs include steel for buildings, pipe supports, pipe racks,  substations, and equipment support and access. Typical reinforced concrete designs include foundations for buildings, chimneys, static and dynamic equipment, cooling towers, tanks, substation equipment, and transmission towers; buried tunnel and vault systems; and foundations for coal handling equipment. Requirements include a Bachelor?s degree in Civil Engineering, P.E. Certification, and 15 plus years experience. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, MathCad, and STAADPRO is a plus.
