Performs system analysis, design, development, test and evaluation activities, ensures the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety, survivability, human and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Formulates operational concept, performs mission and functional analyses, conducts requirements and information analysis, cost-benefit analysis, system trade studies, and risk analysis. Selects system architecture, allocates requirements and prepares specifications.

Requires Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or computer related field. Master's degree is highly desirable.

Requires minimum 7 years experience (minimum 4 years experience with a Master's degree, or 2 years experience with a PhD) as a systems administrator/engineer on large, complex programs in a government or military classified environment. Expertise in ADP/IT systems management and configuration. Specialized experience in the system administration for UNIX (Solaris) and PC (Windows) workstations and servers. Experience using ATM and Ethernet as well as copper and fiber utilities.

Ability to maintain R&D networks. Knowledge of cryptographic devices. Knowledge of video technology equipment.
