Union Switch & Signal is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer for our Pittsburgh, PA location:
Summary:
The Systems engineer is required for the Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) applications group.
The systems engineer is needed to perform systems applications engineering on CBTC projects.
Duties: System level design and development of CBTC signaling systems. Interface with customers, end users, suppliers, co- suppliers, and other technical organizations to define the operational and performance requirements of CBTC signaling applicationsGenerating system, subsystem, and functional requirementsProvide thorough and detailed requirements to the development/application organizations for implementationDeveloping test/validation requirements. Generate test plans, cases, and procedures, as well as provide oversight for, the system level testing, validation, and commissioning of CBTC signaling systemsProviding customer support to project management and marketingProvide overall technical coordination for several separate engineering organizations, all performing subsystem level application engineering on CBTC projects
Requirements:
12+ years experience with the following:
Experience with system level design and development of complex electronic control systemsExperience in specification generation, requirements analysis, requirements flowdown, and requirements traceabilityExperience analyzing and evaluating the performance of complex systemsExperience generating trade studiesExperience developing products in a lifecycle process (CENELEC, IEEE)Experience with, or knowledge of, train control principles and signaling
