Sr. Systems Engineer (367-07)

This individual will define and invent communication system architectures that support the wireless networking product space. They will work directly with our Product Line Marketing team and customers to aggressively define and develop system solutions that are best-in-class in four critical dimensions: performance, size, power consumption, and cost. Additionally, the individual will work closely with Design Engineering to fully understand IC level trade-offs and with Accounts Executives on PCBA level trade-offs. This individual is also responsible for analyzing and simulating radio system performance using CAD/CAE tools, such as, ADS. They will chair system level design reviewss and have complete responsibility for overall system performance with special emphasis on determining the appropriate critical IC and PCBA level specifications necessary to meet system performance requirements.

Requirements:
A BSEE (MSEE or Ph.D preferred) or equivalent level of experience and/or training. plus a minimum of 4 years of related industry experience in communication systems and/or mixed signal IC design is required. Mixed signal and RF/analog circuit design experience related to wireless communications is preferred as is experience with silicon bipolar and/or CMOS IC design. Knowledge of communication systems and standards, previous supervisory experience, knowledge of systems simulation tools, and the ability to use SPICE-based tools are all desirable.
