Sr Tech Support Engineer II

Job Description: RTSC is currently seeking a Sr. Tech Support Engineer II to install, check out, operate, maintain, inspect, repair, and modify equipment for ground station support at Beale AFB CA. The responsibilities of this position include:

? Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action.

? Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation.

? Devises and implements preventive maintenance programs and keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment.

? Conduct integration and test of new hardware, updated software and/or database builds and support installation process.

? Cooperates and interacts with military customer and other contractor personnel in a diverse team setting.



Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Six or more years of RF hardware experience. Four or more years of SAR experience. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to lift 40 pounds.



Desired Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. UNIX and Sys Admin experience. Flight line experience.



Required Education: A Bachelors degree in a technical field is preferred, however, an Associates Degree with an additional 4 years of experience can be substituted.
