Responsibilities:
Position will be in our VSP special projects group. Perform and manage high end VSP data processing projects. Present processed results to customer. Publish and present at technical conferences. Work with sales/operations team to interface with current and potential customers.
Some international travel will be required.
Skill Requirements:
Proficient in managing staff and/or projects. Understanding of internal accounting procedures and BHI legal compliance. Expert knowledge of new formation evaluation technologies. Significant knowledge of products from other BHI divisions. Expert knowledge within his/her discipline and ability to converse at a strategic planning level with others. Excellent communication and presentation skills are needed.
Education/Experience:
Masters degree in Geophysics. Experience as senior VSP processing geophysicist with at least 5 years of VSP processing experience. Candidates should have an extensive background in all types of VSP seismic data processing. This person should be able to process high-end VSP services such as 3DVSP, walkaway VSP, converted wave VSP, shear wave splitting, and anistropy analysis.
