Sr. Wastewater Project Manager

MWH has an opening for a Senior Wastewater Manager located in Bellevue, Washington, to work primarily with municipal wastewater clients.

Under the direction of the Seattle office Business Unit Leader, this position is accountable for applying intensive, complex and diversified knowledge of wastewater principles in marketing and management of of large projects requiring planning, engineering, design and construction management.
1. Successfully manage a very large wastewater project with complexity OR oversees multiple large-scale projects of moderate complexity.
2. Aggressively manages scheduled projects to meet financial and key business goals.
3. Successfully interacts with client and project team and is accountable for positive resolution of issues.
4. Consistently develops a strong, high performance team.
5. Effectively deals with and resolves very complex project/program tasks and issues; proactively puts plan in place to prevent future issues.
6. Consistently maintains very high client satisfaction that results in additional opportunities and excellent company references.
7. Effectively works with other managers and coaches to align project tasks with project team member's development plans; provides timely and accurate feedback on their deliverables and performance.
8. Organizes, draft and coordinate production of assigned sections of various reports.
9. Oversee specific wastewater technical arena(s) including the supervision of staff, performing analysis of design data, issuing interpretations and solving design problems as require.d
10. Day to day responsibility for up to 5 employees when performing as a Project Manager.
11. Ensure that direct reporting employees follow safe work practices.

BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent. Masters Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering highly desirable. Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain a PE within 12 months. Strong skills in project management for large wastewater related projects; project management certification highly desired. Management experience coupled with exceptional organizational, technical, communication, leadership and detail skills also required. Requires at least 10 years experience in the environmental (wastewater related) consulting and/or construction field with at least five years experience in planning and executing projects. Typical engineering experience is more often 12 to 15 years.
