Staff Application Engineer

Intro:

Job Responsibilities:
Successful candidate will utilize unique engineering skills and industrial experience to identify and implement energy solutions in process industries. Candidate will work independently to schedule and conduct onsite investigations of industrial facilities; identify, overcome obstacles, and collect necessary data; organize and analyze information, model systems performance, develop conceptual engineering design, provide budgetary cost analysis, prepare detailed documentation of recommendations, and present to plant management in industry. Individual will suport marketing and sales initiatves as an expert in key industries and technologies. Candidate will have the demonstrated capability of managing projects from concept to completion, meeting strict time constraints, and managing expectations of internal and external customers. Candidate will also manage and develop other engineers performing such investigations.


Experience Required: Ten years industrial energy systems engineering, applications, and solution design, including two years supervisory experience. Expertise in manufacturing processes and industrial energy systems including chiller plants, steam generation, compressed air, cogeneration, etc. as well as experience in managing engineers performing similar functions Advanced engineering degree (ME degree preferred); Professional Engineering registration Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills Microsoft Office experience including advanced Excel spreadsheet techniques Ability to interface and gain credibility across wide range of plant personnel from individual contributors to presidents of corporations High level of initiative, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
