Staff Display Array/Panel Design Engineer (Bay Area)

Role The successful candidate will be a key member of the team transferring a novel MEMS-based reflective display technology to large area manufacturing. Working closely with the QMT Technology Development team, as well as external large-area manufacturing partners, the Display Array Design Engineer will perform electrical and electro-optical design and simulation of arrays and peripheral structures. Specific areas of responsibility will include: definition of process-specific design rules, definition of driver IC requirements, design of arrays for test, tolerance analysis and identification of potential technology enhancements. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and consolidating design models and tools, enabling the rapid and reliable design of new and custom products.

Skills/Experience
- At least 5 years experience in flat panel display technology (TFT AMLCD or OLED), including experience in large area fabrication or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with large area manufacturing design rules and fabrication techniques.
- Practical experience in display design, including familiarity with appropriate electrical and electro-optic modeling tools and techniques.
- Experience working with external, off-shore manufacturing partners is highly desirable.

Education Requirements
Ph.D. or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a physical science, or equivalent experience. @CB ~
