Staff Engineer II

Description:
CH2M HILL has an immediate opening for a Staff Engineer II in our Baton Rouge, LA office.



This position requires a BS degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering. MS preferred. EIT or ability to obtain required. PE license preferred. Demonstrated experience in providing air quality services to industry. The successful candidate will possess 5 to 9 years of engineering experience, and have a strong background in air resource issues, the Clean Air Act (CAA), Title V, PSD modeling and permitting, RCRA permitting, emission control technologies along with task management skills and a working knowledge of federal and Texas/Louisiana regulations that pertain to chemical plants. Knowledge of industrial waste water is also desired. This position will require frequent interaction with clients and regulatory agency personnel in Texas and Louisiana and may require onsite work at a client facility. Strong communication skills and a demonstrated capability to generate new business are desired.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* BS degree in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering from a US accredited university is required

* EIT or ability to obtain required.

* At least five (5) years experience in air quality services to industry.

* Air resource issues experience should include, but is not limited to: the Clean Air Act (CAA), Title V, PSD modeling and permitting, RCRA permitting and emission control technologies.

* Experience with federal and Texas/Louisiana regulations that pertain to chemical plants.

* If not a U.S. citizen, applicant must have a non-academic visa which will permit him or her to work for any employer.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* MS preferred.

* PE license preferred.

* Knowledge of industrial waste water is also desired.
