Staff Geologist

Description:
CH2M HILL has an immediate opening for a Staff Geologist in our Houston, TX office.



This entry level position requires a MS degree in Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology and 0-2 years experience with site investigations (monitoring well installation design and construction, soil and groundwater sampling, etc.); CERCLA/RCRA process; remedial investigations; groundwater remediation methods; and technical writing. Requirements include knowledge and experience of free phase investigation methods (DNAPL and LNAPL); must have strong technical writing and oral communication skills; the ability to work in a team environment; provide technical support and assist professional and technical staff on multiple projects; and client interaction and client management experience. Position is expected to contribute with client relationships, business development and repeat business opportunities. Expected travel is 50%.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* MS in Engineering, Geology or Hydrogeology

* Experience to include, but is not limited to, site investigations (monitoring well installation design and construction, soil and groundwater sampling, etc.); CERCLA/RCRA process; remedial investigations; groundwater remediation methods; technical writing; and free phase investigation methods (DNAPL and LNAPL).

* If not a U.S. citizen, applicant must have a non-academic visa which will permit him or her to work for any employer.
