Staff IT Engineer

STAFF IT ENGINEER

 

We are looking for an outgoing personality to help motivate, lead and facilitate teamwork across cross-functional boundaries and groups around the world.  The position requires the ability to communicate effectively via written and verbal communications as well as presentations and corporate communications.  The applicant must be able to communicate with others in both a lay and technical manner.

 

This position will require a mesh of strong people skills mixed with equally strong technical skills.  The candidate should be able to design, implement, support, document and defend their vision among their peers and upper management.

 

Responsibilities:Install and maintain a Windows infrastructureAbility to take a project from design to implementationEnterprise backup (design and implement)Enterprise server monitoringMonitor, maintain and allocate storage (disk and tape) via SANCoordinate regular patching with the businessEnterprise anti-virusCapacity planning for servers and storageStrong problem solving skillsStrong communication skillsDocumentationOther duties as assigned

 

Required Experience:3-5 years of experience in Windows administrationEnterprise backup/restore experienceActive Directory experienceHigh school diploma

 

Preferred Experience:

? SSH

? Legate Networker

? Symantec Anti-Virus

? WSUS and Shavlik

? Expert knowledge of Active Directory

? Linux administration

? EMC Control Center

? Brocade SAN switches

? VB scripting

? VMware ESX server/Virtual Center

? Bachelor?s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science

 

Work Travel:5%
