Structural Engineer (P.E. or S.E.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:   -   Maintains the safety of the general public while providing engineering solutions that optimize profits

- Provides structural calculations for cable walls and curtainwalls

- Provides analysis and calculations for proposals and projects, design of shop and field equipment as well as field fixes

- Presents information effectively and responds to questions from managers, clients, and customers

- Receives project and proposal assignments from the manager

- Identifies and coordinates technical code criteria for assignments

- Provides on-site evaluations when required to assess integrity and conformance with approved plans and calculations

- Develops calculations for projects and proposals in sequence with identified priorities and overall schedules

- Provides Professional Engineer stamp with signature on calculations and/or drawings per established company guidelines

- Conforms to engineering standards and policy regarding design philosophy, method of preparation and system of checking. Provides input regarding possible improvement to these standards and policies

- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering calculations

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year accredited University in civil or structural engineering

- Licensed/Registered Professional Engineer

- Minimum of 6 years in cable walls and monumental curtainwall
