Job Skills

 

Energo is currently actively recruiting motivated structural engineers with structural reliability background and 0-3 years experience to join our engineering team.  Candidates skill set must include the following:

 

v Practical knowledge of structural reliability analysis.  Specifically the knowledge in probability theory, first-order/second-order reliability analysis and Bayesian Methods are required.

v Computer skills which include application of typical Microsoft Office products, plus some experience with MathCAD, Matlab and/or finite element structural packages (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, SACS) preferred. 

v Good communication skills that include

o Ability to develop written reports and power point presentations

o Ability to present calculation and analysis results orally

v Other related skills that would be considered a plus,

o Knowledge in structural system reliability and probabilistic structural dynamics.

o Understanding of structural inspection techniques for offshore oil and gas structures and/or involvement in structural inspection planning and implementation.

o Experience in the practical application of structural reliability assessment techniques on offshore structures, for example Risk Based Inspection.

 

Job Duties

 

As part of the team the structural engineer will work side-by-side with senior engineering staff conducting calculations and probabilistic analysis.  The engineer will also be expected to interface with clients during projects as well as assist in the development of written engineering reports.
