Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Establish and continuously improve the processes by which work is accomplished. Act in concert across organizational lines to improve responsiveness of organization to customer needs. Provide leadership and administrative management for assigned personnel. Evaluate performance of personnel and take positive action to encourage growth. Develop technical and interpersonal strengths of employees. Facilitates communications within own organization and with other organizations. Identify resources required, including information, personnel, funding, and organizational support to accomplish goals. Manage the expenditure of resources to meet current and future business needs. Establish and communicate goals that meet the needs of the business. Integrate objectives across organizations. Responsible for the core CFD and 3D modeling technologies within the Tools CoE, with application to Aircraft Engines, Power Generation, Hydro, Wind, Nuclear and other GE Infrastructure businesses. Focal point for post-processing technology and implementation. Interact closely with customer and technology groups within the Tools CoE, GE Infrastructure and GRC to set technology and strategic direction. Establish and maintain collaborative development environment with GRC and other technology organizations within GE Infrastructure. Ensure timely execution of projects, including but not limited to the ADT suite of aeromechanical and heat transfer efforts ongoing with GRC. Direct the fundamental (canonical) validation of new capabilities. Stay abreast of, and ensure that the Component Modeling suite of tools remain state-of-the-art.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience. Ability to organize, motivate, and manage people and/or projects in a multi-organizational environment. Ability to communicate effectively across organizational lines. Previous leadership experience. Experience in turbomachinery aerodynamics, aeromechanics, heat transfer, acoustics and combustion. Strengths in numerical methods, steady and unsteady CFD methods, including steady mixing plane and deterministic stress modeling techniques, unsteady linear and nonlinear techniques, tructured and unstructured CFD methods, turbulence modeling, and other aero/thermal modeling techniques. Strong presentation, communication, Six Sigma, and management skills.
