Supplier Quality Engineering Leader– Technology R&D

Working Area

Supplier Quality Engineering will develop and implement processes to gather statistically based data regarding quality of supplied components and materials to Vestas Wind Systems A/S.  The data will be effectively communicated to different business units within the company to clearly display the suppliers? Capability (Cpk) and other statistically based measures.  Supplier Quality Engineering will drive results within and across organizational boundaries to ensure that the quality and predictability of supplied components is of exceptional calibre.

 

Responsibilities
Establish and develop a team of statistically minded engineers to assess the Capability of component and material suppliers
Collection and presentation of statistically based data about component and material quality collected from suppliers and sub-vendors
Create and drive the Six Sigma quality culture within the group, across all functions
Act as a Six Sigma technical expert, coaching and mentoring Process Owners and Green Belts

 

Skills
Strong quantitative, analytical, and statistical skills; must be proficient in Minitab, Excel and other computer tools
Ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and contacts within work group, across other company functions, and with external organizations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deliver quickly and adapt to changing demands
Proven ability to influence others and drive meaningful change results
Detail oriented person with strong leadership experience willing to take on a challenge
Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing and mentoring skills
Effective writing, public speaking, and training skills; ability to prepare written materials and reports

 

Qualifications
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred)
Supervisory experience - managing a team of individuals
Demonstrated ability to drive change across organizations
BSc degree in a technical field (Advanced technical degree is preferable)

 

Working Location

Primary work location will be Randers, DK, and, at a later time, in the new Technology R&D Centre in Skejby, Aarhus DK.  The work assignment will require quite some travel to other locations in Denmark as well as abroad.
