Supplier Quality Operations Engineer

 Job Description
Automotive supplier seeking an engineer to support them while managing the tool move process of their suppliers.  This individual will be a part of a team with stringent guidelines in order to meet the start of production at new supplier location, while considering the depletion dates at old supplier location. 

 

Primary Responsibilities
? Visit supplier locations to assist in the development of plans to  move tools
? Interface with Engineering to determine validation requirements
? Assures part quality prior to building a bank and moving the tools
? Determines bank quantities, monitors builds and assures quality using GP-12
? Manages and coordinates tool moves to new location
? Conduct Level PPAP and Run @ Rate and scheduled PTR's with specified plants
? Interfaces with Purchasing and PC&L to set up new contracts, transportation, dunnage re-routes and establish break points
? Upon completion of Tool Move, monitors quality and delivery
? Function as the liaison with Plants, PC&L, DRE, SQE and Buyers
? Provide communication with all departments through calls or meetings
? Monitor engineering change implementation through EWO/Change management process
? Monitors overall activities to ensure the integrity of the data being communicated to the organization
? Lead and provide problem-solving expertise for production/manufacturing concerns requiring root cause

 

Job Qualifications
? Bachelor degree in Engineering or Equivalent Experience
? Individual must be able to work on multiple tasks and under stringent timelines
? Must be able to interface with customers at all levels
? Proficient in Excel
? Project Management Experience
? Knowledge of manufacturing/assembly
