Surface Analysis

Conduct microscopic and microstructural analysis of parts, prototypes, and product designs. Creating data analysis reports for internal customers, performing tests to determine potential failure modes and/or mechanisms. The position will interface w/internal customers and be required to be diligent and clear in communication and urgency of work.

Desired Skills include: Optical microscopy, Scanning electron microscopy, FTIR, FTIR microscopy, electronic data capture, optical profilometry, metallurgical sample preparation. Ability to write reports, accurately record data and interpret images, and clearly communicate results required. Ability to function independently in a high energy environment desired.

Work experience w/polymer or metallurgical surface analysis strongly preferred.
