Sustaining Engineer

SUMMARY   Support sustaining engineering and Document control functions. Sustaining engineering will consume 90% of the weekly workload with the remaining 10% devoted to Document Control functions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following.

 

Sustaining Engineering: 90%

-Generate Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for equipment modifications.

-Modify current AutoCAD and Inventor drawing per markups or instructions.

-Assist engineering with creating solid model detail drawings using AutoDesk Inventor

 

Document Control: 10%

-Scan and archive hard copies of purchase part specifications, customer specifications and customer sign off drawings.

-Provide hard copy or electronic files to the purchasing and manufacturing departments when requested.

-Provide engineering hard copy ECO releases to manufacturing.

-Photograph custom equipment and maintain archive history.

-Archive and maintain electronic Engineering history files.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

-Experience with 2D CAD, such as AutoDesk AutoCAD.

-Experience with 3D CAD, such as AutoDesk Inventor or similar solid modeling program.

-Experience with Photoshop helpful, but not required.

-Knowledge of engineering drafting practices.

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Verbal and written communication skills, in English, are essential.
