System Test Engineer

This reputation gives us a powerful advantage in today's competitive worldwide marketplace.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a System Test Engineer within our Managed Network Systems group in our Orland Park facility.

This position is responsible for writing and executing test plans for MNS software products, developing automated test suites for both progression testing and regression testing, and developing and maintaining test tools and the test environment in support of MNS intelligent hardware. The candidate must have an in depth knowledge of software system test methodologies, and must have experience in testing both Windows and UNIX-based application software as well as embedded control software. Must also have a solid understanding of networking and network protocols such as TCP/IP and SNMP. Work with system engineering and product development to understand product capabilities, and customer usage. Develop system test plans and design, implement, and execute the test plans for internal software projects to ensure the proper operation and functionality for our customers. Work with outside vendor software products and perform intermediate load and final acceptance testing to ensure performance and quality to the specification. Develop automated test suites for product regression testing to ensure the quality of updates and patches. Provide consultation to the field application engineer, technical sales force, system integrators, and end users regarding field application problem resolution. Work with the engineering laboratory to evaluate application scenarios, and to maintain a test environment for the products. Maintain and employ a change control system to track product bugs. Participate in the change request review board to review and assign change requests.REQUIREMENTS? Minimum BSEE/ BSCS; preferred MSEE / MSCS
