Systems Engineer (1476)

Carlsbad, CA (coastal San Diego area)

 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include: Capture, allocation, and tracing system requirements; logical and systematic conversion of specified requirements into a high level system design that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints; Define complex system specifications and associated design of system architectures, input/output processes and working parameters; Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system.

 

Requirements:

? Formal engineering or scientific education: BS or above preferred
? 4-6 years experience as systems engineer for hardware/software development projects including system architecture, requirements analysis, allocation, design, integration, and validation
? Experience in complex, multi-faceted programs
? security program experience preferred
? DoD systems development experience preferred with active security clearance or have held active clearance (secret or above) within the past two years
? Demonstrated understanding of systems engineering processes (eg. 499B, IEEE1220, EIA632) as well as "big picture" understanding.
? Strong oral and written communication skills.
? Ability to function in an integrated team environment.

Requirements analysis, through analysis of customer needs, objectives, and specifications
? Design/definition of system solutions, configuration items and system elements for each logical set of functional and performance requirements.
. Experience with DOORS or other requirements tracking tool
