Systems Engineer

Advancia - A professional technical services firm seeks a Systems Engineer for employment at FLW and Ft. Leavenworth. This work is contingent upon contract award.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Systems Engineer:Performs engineering work associated with the analysis, design, and development of computer hardware, firmware, embedded systems, and/or operating systems; works under general supervision; performs additional duties as assigned. Performs systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, and analog or digital systems engineering.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum two years experience in the installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN networks, troubleshooting networks including installations and upgrades for server and desktops

Proven track record developing and deploying system implementation programs and plans, and maintaining application integration solutions

Ability to research and recommend hardware and software equipment

Possess thorough understanding of network and system monitoring technologies and procedures including knowledge of internet security

EDUCATION and MILITARY TRAINING

Associate?s degree from post secondary school, or vocational / technical school certificate with four years of relevant experience may be substituted

MCSE certificate

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Hands-on outdoor training; may at times include extreme temperatures relating to the regions where the work will be performed.

WORK CONDITIONS

Ability to sit and type/Keyboard for long periods of time, walk, stoop, twist, stand, and travel by land and/or air.

Ability to operate a computer and telephone.

Ability to operate equipment and perform maintenance as instructor duties require.
