Systems Engineer (Senior Engineer II)

Argo-Tech Corporation, a major manufacturer of quality aerospace products, has a challenging opportunity for a qualified individual to join our engineering team as a Systems Engineer.

 

POSITION PURPOSE:



 

To lead the technical interface services for external Customer and Internal functions for new and existing Argo-Tech products.  To utilize established engineering procedures for the coordination of new product development as well as providing manufacturing and aftermarket support for existing products.  To work in a team environment to ensure the timely and cost completion of these activities to meet or exceed customer expectations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:



 

? Meet with various airlines, airframers, engine manufacturers, and system and component suppliers on a continuing basis to understand the overall needs of each facet of the commercial aviation industry. 

 

? Align the needs of potential customers with Argo-Tech?s current and planned capabilities. 

 

? Direct Argo-Tech to new development areas.

 

? Provide support of sales and marketing efforts of Argo-Tech by preparing initial phase proposals including preliminary technical content, ROM non-recurring cost, and program schedules for new product line systems and components.

 

? Present technical aspects of proposal activities.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

?  Working knowledge of engine / airframe fuel systems

?Good understanding of modern engine control systems and the parameters of operation

?  Broad technical background in system analysis and component design

?  Working knowledge of development and certification cycle requirements

?BSME required, MSME desired
