Systems Engineer - Service Module Support

 

Job Requirements and Description

 

BS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Math, Science or related field from an ABET accredited institution and a minimum of 3 years engineering experience is required.  Thorough understanding of practical government application of system and project engineering principles is required.  Solid planning and project management skills are required.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.  Space transportation systems development, integration, and/or operations background desired.  Background in the integration and assembly of space transportation vehicles is highly desired.  Familiarity and experience in the Space Shuttle System is highly desired.  Technical writing skills highly desired.

 

Other Duties:

 

Provide system engineering support to the Service Module (SM) Project in the areas of requirements and verification.  Develop and maintain system requirements and traceability, verification planning, verification requirements, and compliance.  Utilize the CRADLE database tool and other tools as defined by the SM project and/or EI62.
