Department Description: The Eastern Region systems engineering team supports sales by designing and implementing integrated two-way radio communications systems using technologies based upon APCO25 and other standards of wireless communication. We meet customer requirements and support projects in the State and Local Government Public Safety market.

Responsibilities/Expectations: - Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support on wireless communications systems for public safety Customer accounts.
- Work with a team including sales, system integrators, product engineers and program managers to implement wireless communication solutions for both voice and data.
- Responsibilities include performing RF coverage and interference predictions, systems architecture and detailed design work, determining equipment layouts, conducting system staging (at our facility in Schaumburg or other locations), and system testing.
- Participate in making Customer presentations. Generate implementation plans and system test reports.
- During certain points in project life cycles (such as staging, acceptance testing and coverage testing) travel and field work is required.^^

Knowledge Skills: - BS Degree in Electrical, Computer, Industrial, or Systems Engineering required.
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences highly desired.
- Experience working with customers is highly desired. Must be able to work effectively with and lead engineering project teams with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of computer software, hardware and LANs is required.
- Experience in radio systems, RF, and/or wireless engineering is highly desired.
- CCNA/CCNP certification highly desirable.
