DMJM Harris is seeking a Senior Traffic / ITS Engineer - Department Manager to lead our Traffic Engineering and ITS Projects in the Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland region. The candidate shall be a registered Professional Engineer PE in the State of Virginia; have a minimum of 15 years experience; and have strong management, writing and presentation skills. A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required.

Desirable credentials include PTOE certification and successful working relationships with the Virginia DOT, District DOT (Washington, D.C.)and Federal Highway Administration.

Responsible for the overall management and operation of traffic engineering and ITS services; developing, managing, promoting, and integrating all aspects of this assigned area to meet both client needs and company objectives. Provide managerial direction and supervisory control to departmental staff. Budgetary / financial oversight.
