Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in designing layouts of Flexible Printed Circuits.  Provides technical support for new and existing customers of Flexible Printed Circuit products.  Acts as the interface between the local customer and Japan on all technical issues.

 

This individual will:

?  Work closely with the Sales department and the customer's engineering personnel to provide technical expertise related to the customer's use of FPC products.

?  Make suggestions and design modifications where applicable.

?  Act as liaison on technical issues between affiliated companies and the customer.  Provide technical data as required.

?  Keep informed on current technical issues and new developments in the field.

?  Provide periodic reports to various levels of management, sales personnel and customers.

?  Oversee the technical design function for the FPC Department.

?  Make technical presentations to customers.

?  Manage customer programs.

 

 

Education & Experience Requirements

 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline; Mechanical Engineering preferred.

3 - 5 years experience providing technical support for printed circuit or flex circuit design/fabrication. Supervisory experience preferred.

 

Other Skills and Abilities

 

?  Bilingual Japanese/English.

?  Good interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a friendly, cooperative, stable demeanor.

?  Ability to understand and communicate technical issues.

?  Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.

?  Ability to work in Windows computer environment including: word processing, spreadsheet, database management, electronic mail and presentation softwares.  Ability to work with AutoCAD.

?  Ability to travel to customer locations and Nitto affiliated companies.
