Technical / Development Engineer

DESCRIPTION Our client located in Northern Virginia is looking for an Engineer with a strong plastics background and enjoys interfacing with the customers on a regular basis.

Position Summary:

1.This position will be responsible for providing customer technical service, ensuring customers have the highest quality product suited for their specific application in the market.

2.Will provide direct input on product design needs and act as a facilitator between operations and the customer/market for new product introduction.

3.To facilitate service to customers this engineer will assist in manufacturing testing for improvements to existing products and new products when required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Primary technical contact to customers.

2.Acquire new business and maintain existing business by working with customers to determine appropriate product for specific application.

3.Assist in design and production of samples.

4.Research and recommend innovative raw materials, processes, and markets to create new products to improve market position.
