Samsung Telecommunication America based in Richardson, Texas has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Evaluation Engineer in our newly formed Advanced Mobile Strategy Group in Irvine, CA.

Technical Evaluation Engineer - Advanced Mobile Strategy Group

The Technical Evaluation Engineer is responsible for researching new innovative technologies in North America and execute preliminary evaluations in terms of technical potential and feasibility by analyzing the technical data.

- Qualifications

* A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electronics from an accredited college or university.
* Requires 1-3 years experience in the Mobile or Embedded Industry developing, utilizing, and/or integrating new innovative technologies.
* Focus on hardware design projects such as digital circuit design, ASIC design, audio circuit design, and/or RF design.
* Experience in project planning and contingency planning will be considered a bonus.
* Must have good writing, analytical, and communication skills.

- Duties & Responsibilities

* Researches new products and technologies in mobile industry and other related industries.
* Identifies and analyzes new products and technologies through technical materials and communications such as e-mail or phone
calls at engineering level.
* Prepares technology summaries and detailed research reports on the solutions and presentations for the division heads.
* Develops comparative analysis reports on similar technologies and solutions.
* Develops integration plans for new technologies or component into existing or projected products.
