The Technical Lead will be the primary technical point of contact between the System Communications group and Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance teams. The Technical Lead will coordinate technical response to inquiries regarding systems and software developed by the System Communication team. The Technical Lead will develop and maintain system and software documentation for use by Engineering and Operations teams. The Technical Lead will coordinate technical aspects of releases of System Communication software. In these capacities, the Technical Lead will develop in-depth knowledge of System Communication software and systems to serve as a subject matter expert for Akamai internal teams.

The Technical Lead must be a self-starter and be able to manage and prioritize many tasks at any given time. The Technical Lead must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Technical Lead must be able to work collaboratively and to coordinate among technical groups within Akamai. The Technical Lead must also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a highly technical team. Demonstrated attention to detail, follow through, and ability to prioritize quickly are essential.
Responsibilities
* Develop in-depth knowledge of System Communications technology.
* Act as primary technical point of contact for System Communication.
* Coordinate resolution of issues and inquires to the team.
* Manage technical aspects of releases.
* Publish and maintain internal documentation.

Required Skills:
* 3-5 years development or operations experience.
* Excellent oral and written communications skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Bachelors degree or equivalent.
