Technical Sales Engineer calling on Tier 1 Automotive

Required Education :  Bachelor?s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering

 

Required Skills:

?  Demonstrated ability to read mechanical engineering blueprints and relate to manufacturing processes

?  Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, screw machining, injection molding, die casting, metal stampings, cold heading etc.

?  Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills

 

Desired skills:  Experience working with the automotive Tier I market

 

Alexander Associates, Inc. is a manufacturers? representative agency specializing in Tier 1 automotive mechanical component sales.  We have an excellent opportunity for a Sales Engineer.  For over twenty years our sales representative agency has been serving the needs of the Tier 1 automotive community selling mechanical components to Tier 1 Automotive.

 

Individual will seek orders from potential Tier 1 customers.  Candidate must have the ability to get face to face appointments with Engineers and Purchasing Agents.  We don?t need someone to manage business.  We are searching for a ?hunter?, someone that can go out and get new business.  Receive salary and commission.  This is the job for someone who wants to be rewarded for their successful efforts and knows how to make things happen!!

 

The candidate must have the ability to communicate on a technical level with both customers and manufacturers to analyze problems and determine appropriate solutions. Though engineering skills will be used, the focus of the job is sales.  This position would be perfect for an engineer with people skills interested in moving from the technical side of business to the sales and customer interaction side of the business or a salesperson with automotive component experience and manufacturing expertise.
