Technical Support / Application Engineer

Job Description:

- Provide extensive technical support for customers, and sales personnel with respect to the embedded PC hardware and software solutions.
- Determine the customer?s high level technical needs, design the solution, test the system and oversee the installation of the customer?s environment based on embedded PC hardware and software solution.
- Assist business development and sales team in creating customer specific solutions. This includes (but not limited to) pre-sales and post-sales technical assessments, feasibility testing, technical response to customer bids, RMA verification and on-site technical training. Support activities also include communication support of field problems and interaction with field sales personnel.
- Will construct hardware and software demonstration prototypes to aid sales and marketing efforts. This includes rapid hardware prototype development, high-level application software coding and system integration.
- Participating in trade shows and periodic travel is required.REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor?s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field is required
- At least 2+ years experience in hardware design or technical support in PC or related field is required.
- Experience installing and solving problems related to X86 architecture systems is a must.
- Experience in PC application coding using industry standard languages such as Visual Basic, C++ and assembly is a plus
- Able to use a multi-meter and oscilloscope along with schematics in troubleshooting hardware problems.
- Prior experience in PC systems design or related hardware design experience is desired.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and be a self starter.
- Fluent English is a must.
- Periodic travel is required
