Technical Support/Applications Engineer, Technical Services Department

 

Mill-Max is seeking an experienced Technical Support/Applications Engineer for our Oyster Bay,  NY location.  If you are a self-motivated individual with technical support experience and the desire to become an integral part of our team, this career opportunity may be for you.

 

Responsibilities:

? Provide technical phone support and field response to customer issues

? Update product drawings and customer files

? Provide timely responses and regular updates on customer inquiries

? Proactively keep management informed of critical customer issues/concerns

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for assuming a role of both Technical and Customer Service provider, effectively processing highly technical support needs and communicating solutions to end-users via telephone, e-mail, and the Internet. The qualified candidate will possess:

 

? Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Experience

? 1-2 years experience in technical support or customer service

? Excellent communication and customer service skills, complemented by a relentlessly enthusiastic and positive attitude and a strong desire to leverage problem solving skills.

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Windows, and CAD software required; AutoCAD or Inventor a plus.

? A Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering another plus
