Test Engineer (Software)

Will develop, implement and maintain test plan, procedures, guidelines, standards and processes on the project and document test results in a test report. Will adhere to test engineering schedule constraints, will provide metrics data required by project plan, and conduct formal software testing to verify that all functional requirements have been met. Prepare and participate in internal reviews of Software test products. Provide status reports on test engineering activities to line and project management.

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline is desirable. Applicable work experience of 3 years or more may be substituted for degree.

Required Skills: Requires 3+ years of formal software testing experience. Strong understanding of the Software testing methodology is required. Must have proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills are expected.

Desired Skills: Experience testing interfaces between systems and reconciling differences. Experience with Microsoft Access, EXCEL and other DBMS. Experience in an IT organization a plus. Familiarity and experience with Mercury Quality center as well as Mercury Interactive's Load Runner and Win Runner tools desired.
